Default Civic climate control lights..STILL NEED HELP PLEASE!

I'm having an issue with the Climate control lights in my 93 civic ex. The green/orange lights on each individual climate control setting don't work which won't let me switch in between the settings, its stuck on Defrost. The white back lights on the climate control both work though. Anyone have any idea's what it could be? It started with flickering awhile back, then now they don't work at all.

I've checked:
All the under dash fuses.
Tried another climate control unit.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you check the hazard lights fuse (#43, 10A) under the hood?

Do the backlights for the cluster work? If not, double check fuse 19 under the dash. Also check the dimmer switch.

Ok i just checked that under-hood fuse for the hazards and it was blown, i replaced it and they work now. My climate control lights are still messed up.

Yes, all the cluster lights work and so does the dimmer switch (although sometimes i have to smack my dimmer switch to get the lights to come on). Half of the white lights behind the climate control work too (left/drivers side are either out or dim) but NONE of the green lights for each button work.

I think all of the lights you are talking about (except the A/C switch light) is under the control of the dimmer switch and fuse 19. You may want to check whether the bulbs are blown.

Alright, i'll start off by replacing fuse 19 and go from there.

I don't think it's blown bulbs because they started dimming/flickering at first then finally stopped working all together. Now i can't switch the climate setting, it's stuck on deforst due to the green lights not lighting up.

I'm thinking the whole climate control unit is messed up?

I also checked the engine bay ground near the passenger headlight, it's in it's right location. Another ground for the climate control stuff somewhere?

Yeah, based on this new information, the heater control panel may be bad. First, however, check whether the connectors/pins at the rear of the panel are loose/corroded.

Yeah, i pulled the plug out last night and it looked fine. I'm gonna check fuse 19 then if that doesn't help swap a new climate control unit in. Thanks for all the help Ron!

Ron, or anyone else that might know..

When i got my car it didn't have a dome light, the assembly itself and all the wires were gone due to a custom headliner (gay)

I bought a new dome light assembly and its got a light green wire with a red stripe and a white wire with a red stripe, where should i/could i run these to? I don't care if it comes on when the door opens just so long as i turns on when i push the switch to 'on'.

FYI: The original ceiling light was powered by the WHT/BLU wire (likely same as your WHT/RED wire) that runs from fuse 3 (7.5A) under the dash. Maybe you can locate the remnant of this original wire. A GRN/RED wire grounded the light through the door switches (likely same as your GRN/RED wire). The switch is also directly grounded locally.

None of the individual little buttons work, like deforst, face, feet, etc. The lights dont work behind each button which in-turn wont let it switch from one to the other, it's stuck on defrost.

It seems like that section of the climate control isnt getting any power but the plugs and such are fine, i even tried another climate control unit.

None of the lights on those work on mine but it still switches from setting to setting. I burnt the LED's out on them on purpose to check some new color LED's. Was playing with modding the climate controls. But like I said the lights don't come up but it still switches you can hear the vent flaps changing under the dash. If you can't hear them changing under the dash then either the climate controls themselves are bad and or the actual blower unit that has all the flaps is bad.

Correction my circulatory lights work the ones to choose outside air from cabin air. I changed them to a really bright green LED. But deciding on what color to make the other ones. But the ones that change Defrost etc are burnt out and it still switches.

Check whether fuse 13 under the dash is blown.
