Civic 97 Transmission fluid flush help
I have a 97 civic
I have not a transmission fluids flush in the last 7 years..atleast i dont remember explicitly asking some one to do so..
I had taken it for an oil change, and the guy said it requires a flush,
but I also heard another opinion that if it hasnt been done in a long while, the new fluids detergents will eat away the seals and cause leaks..
my questions is are these concerns valid? should i go ahead and do a fluid flush and ? if leaks arise, is it easy to fix them???
Thanks
Vijay

Re: Civic 97 Transmission fluid flush help
Just flush it. It sounds like it has never been done and its really simple. And yes the fluid (like oil) breaks down over time.
