Hondata s300 - Engine Coolant Temperature CEL stuck on.
Was having a bunch of issues getting the fan to work. Finally got it all figured out and now the "ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor" CEL is on. Clearing it and it comes back on in like 3 seconds. It doesn't matter what temp the coolant is. As soon as the key is in the on position, it comes on.
Any help? Did I maybe fry something? All the fuses are good.

What is the resistance of the sensor when the engine is fully warmed up?
Have you checked the two ECT sensor wires for an open or short?

The wires look fine. Plug looks fine. I even swapped a different ECT on there because I had an extra. Made no difference.
Haven't checked the resistance. Should I plug the multi-meter in to the plug?

Fully warmed up, connecting to both ends of the plug reads 0 with the key off.
Sensor is the same. 0.

Post a picture of your multimeter and I or another member can instruct you how to measure resistance of the ECT sensor and to test the wires for a short or open.
