car starts but whont rev high.
i have a 95 honda civic with an ls swap and the car turns on right away and stays on. but i cant rev it or it will try to turn off ..what is there to check for there is an engine light on..i am using the cars stock ecu .
the idle stays at like 600 and wont go past 1500 rpm when it hits 1500 rpm its start jumping up and down

yes for the light first. get a timing light and hook it to the first plug wire and point it at the crank pully. you'll see it flash and you'll notice there are marks (either on the t-belt cover or pully, dont remember) and this will tell you what degrees its firing at. to adjust it loosen the dizzy bolts and turn it to the IM to advance and exhaust to retard.

i dont know if its the right word or not i just know that having the wrong ECU specially one that is giving the LS way off the correct air/fuel ratio etc is whats most likely causing it to stall when he trys to rev it. feel free to correct me if im wrong.

i know what your saying and that makes sense. it should still rev up, but OP you need to put in the LS ecu

I dunno if you already read or heard from someone but you should check your distriburator.
I had a friend with a 92-95 Civic coupe with the same problem, he got a new distriburator and it fix the problem.
