Car shakes when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Clutch problem?
I did a bit of research about this problem and I think it's clutch chatter but not too sure in my case.
I realized my car shakes really bad (like even the dash and panels are shaking) whenever I shift from 1st to 2nd when the car is still cold. There's no shaking from neutral to 1st.
I usually let the car warm up for 1-2 minute.
Every time (when the car is still cold after the warm up) i try to shift from 1st to 2nd at like 2500-3000 rpm (around 10 mph) the car shakes kinda like when someone is not giving enough gas as they let go of the clutch slowly. While the shake is happening as i slowly let off the clutch, If i add more gas, the shake goes away faster.
So today after the 1-2 min warm up, I accelerated a bit more and then shift from 1st to 2nd at 3500 rpm (a little higher than usual). No shake at all. When the car has reach it's operating temperature, I try to shift to 2nd at around 10 mph again and no shake at all again.
So I think the shaking only happens when my car is still cold. Is this problem a clutch chatter or is it just my driving?
oh ya, and Idk what kind of clutch and stuff is it. The past owner replaced it like not too long ago.
