water bypass hose question
I just installed my custom intake on my d16y8 and used a new hose going from the crankcase breather to intake. Now I am left with the old crankcase breather hose since it is welded into the holder along with the water bypass hose. In the first picture i have added I highlighted the water bypass hose in red.
Is there a specific reason (function) for the way it is bent and sloped, could i take a hose and connect it straight from the intake manifold to the cylinder head and avoid using the metal portion?
What does everyone else do with this part when they install an intake?

Re: water bypass hose question
it does nothing its just welded togeather becaues they go the same direction.. what i did was just get a hose "coupler" and put the water line togeather with that and i got rid of that whole metal cluster ****

Re: water bypass hose question
can you not just disconnect the metal framed part of it and connect one of the 2 rubber hoses used for the water bypass hose to connect the "circuit" the one coming from the intake manifold looks long enough to connect to the cylinder head?
