EM1 7/8 Plug Dizzy Problem
what's up HT, I'm having a problem with my EM1. well, long story short, previous retarded owner threw in a D16Y8 swap and threw in an auto 00 EX harness, swapped in a LS motor, everything was cool. just had to get some things repinned, but recently by B series distributor was acting up, so I replaced it and now my new one does not want to turn the car on. I threw the old one in and boom is started. I noticed the one I had is a 2 plug and only has 7 teeth, as opposed to the 8 in my plug. now, I was wondering what distributor I must use. the plug from my harness is an 8 pin plug since it's off a single cam? thanks in advance.
picture is the plug from my harness.

What do you mean acting up? Spuds like you bought an obd1 distributor (2 plug) and you need an OBD2a style but the 00 EX harness is OBD2B style. There is no plug and play b series vtec distributor. You need an OBD2b to OBD2a distributor adapter and then get the correct 99-00 Si distributor. Post pics of what you have.

if that is the engine harness plug for the distributor and you have a ls (b18a1/b18b1) engine in your car then you need a distributor for a 00 Honda CRV...it will have the correct plug...you might have your wiring a lil different if you're saying that you previously had an obd1 (two plugs) ls distributor on it, only had the big plug connected and the engine would turn on...can you post a pic of your old distributor?
