Default loud exhaust

Hi guys,

Just a few questions on quieting my exhaust. I have a full 2 1/2" piping from header to the n1 arrospeed muffler.
First off we cannot get good quality mufflers down here unless we order directly out of the US. And that is veeery expensive.
So i was thinking of getting a resonator made by my local shop.

Question1: What is a good length to go with? and does it affect the sound by where it is placed on the piping?
2. Would 2 resonators be better to go with?

Do you have a test pipe, cat, straight pipe, or what?

straight pipe. No cat needed. No emmissions testing down here.

I have 18" resonator with hi flow cat and summit turbo muffler and its pretty loud compare to my ws2 apexi exhaust. I think 2 resonator should do.

The longer the resonator, the quieter it will be, my old car had a short (10 inch) one and it didnt quiet it down much just took out a lot of nasty sound

A trick ive seen is having two resonators installed. Get nothing but a low drone and hum.

^^yup i have that same set-up(2 resonators) on my EKsedan. I bought small glass-packed resonators(cherry bomb), i installed a long resonator after the headers, and the small one installed it before the bend. sounds real DEEP tone

Thanks for the replys. I will try the long res. probably 18" first. Then if it is still to loud then I will add the smaller one down to the end.
