Brand new battery but stereo resets and no spark
So ive recently swapped out my engine on my 1994 honda civic ex, its got a p28 ecu and just dropped in a d16y8. For some reason im not getting any spark from the distributor and it was working fine. I swaped out the rotor and but a new cap still nothing. I did swap the manifold from the y8 but everthing hooked on right. When i go to start the car it turns strong but no start and my sterio resets its self. I have a little green light next to my steering wheel (im guessing its wired to vtec or shift like because when vtec kicked in the light would turn on) but instead of staying off it flashes on and off and i hear a clicking noise under where the fuse box is inside the car. The car was fine before the swap and didnt even have a check engine light (that turns on too). I took out both fuses for the ecu and unpluged the ecu but the dash keeps doing the same thing and it still wont start. I checked my fuses in the outside in the engine bay and non seemed burnt. I was getting a weird backfire of gas out of the manifold for a couple days then it stopped and now when it turns it does it again. I have fuel going into the engine i know thats for sure. I cant seem to find the problem at all and im stuck. Any help? Thanks!

Check whether the hood Back Up fuse is blown.
How did you test for spark?
Post pictures of the inside of the distributor.

Did you do the spark test for all 4 spark plug wires?

Where's the coil spring and dust cover?
Will you ever do this:

Will you ever do this:
Check whether the hood Back Up fuse is blown.
Test whether battery voltage reaches the coil and ICM inside the distributor.

Voltage test the installed fuse with a multimeter. Bad fuses don't always look bad.

Also use multimeter to test whether voltage reaches coil and ICM.
Dust cover and spring pic? Cap and rotor?
