new here and need help
well let me introduce myself a bit i live in mass and have a 00 ekhatch...
i currently reside in turbooptions.com its the local website for cars...i kno sum mite be offended for posting a thread so quick but i need help asap on what it mite be or if sum1 came across this situation before
i need some help i jus did a swap i put a obd1 motor in my 00 ek hatch use the wiring harness from my hatch i made my own harness for my dizzy based off of the wiring diagram so its good put the obd2b alternator on my obd1 single cam motor.... ok heres whats wrong the car cranks stay on for like a matter of 5 seconds nd dies out what could it be its starts 2 bogg out ndjus dies on me the car is a lil off timing but not that bad 2 cause that what could it be would appreciate help

Hi,
Right off the bat I think of the fuel pump, as maybe it primes but then looses its prime when they car starts. If that checks out I would start with the basics, Fuel, fire, and compression. Check the dizzy or coil and see if its continueing to fire after the car starts. I have had coils fire only half the time and stop working after 30 secs of running. Then I would check the fuel starting with injectors and fuel pump.

im gonna be honest this is my first swap had a lil help here and there but was forced 2 do alone cause had people front on me...

well if its a obd1 motor it doesnt have the crank sensor on the crank shaft next to the oil pump thats whats causing it not to run!
