Blackhousing headlights...
These lights look like they have a UV coating if you look at them and see the color spectrum in the lens. Do all of the ebay ones have this or only a certain company? I cant find anything in the description, and dont hate for choosing ebay because I cant afford to pay $250 for real lights...

Re: Blackhousing headlights...
i'm not positive if all of them have it or not, but if that is what the selling point of them is to you don't plan on having them like that forever.
you may have seen pictures of my old hatch floating around, i put the stock headlights back in because the previous owner bought those headlights with the rainbow UV coating thing.
this was taken i thiiink the first day i had it, as you can see the headlights are now dull, scratchy looking and well just downright ugly really.
here's another pic before i changed them.
and back to the stockers. you can see how the headlights alone changed the look of the car so much for the better.
Don't get me wrong, if you want to get them i'm not talking you out of them. it's just my personal experience with them and i'd hate to see someone unsatisfied with a purchase like i was so many times.
either way good luck

Re: Blackhousing headlights...
why did you take out the ones with that UV coating? I just want blackhousing lights without the amber reflector, i want them where its all clear. My friend has the ones like the ones in the picture I posted, he got them off ebay but doesnt remember which company/store he got them from. On a black car I think I like the silver better. My car is silver so I kind of wanted something to stand out a little bit but nothing too crazy.

Re: Blackhousing headlights...
oh, thats my reason for replacing the stock ones, they are yellowish even after doing treatments to get rid of it and i wanted all clear lights. I wanted to go with the silver and black/gunmetal scheme. I'm going to get some black Honda badges, black housing lights, I have black S2K seats in a very dark grey interior. i'm getting the headliner and pillars done in dark grey or black. black/gunmetal wheels. I guess if I dont like them I could just sell them. i just wanted to see if they are all actually the same manufacture just under a different store/picture or if they were actually different and one had that coating and another didnt.

It all depends where u buy them from. Make sure they are atleast DEPO. They will be good. Or Sonar i think makes them too. Never had a problem with any of those. As far as amber reflectors some have tem some dont. The ones i had didnt have them.

Re: Blackhousing headlights...
Depo is a OEM replacment company or so I say. Pretty much OEM grade and style with cheaper material. I do noticed that my Depo 96-98 foglights for my Ej8 doesn't come with stainless steel screws!!! Fawking **** is rusting.... But the lens are made of glass so I'm not tripping unless it falls off.
As for blackhousing headlights, is your question asking how to do it?
