Default Best car battery to buy that's not expensive like the Optimas?

Well my mom's accord needs a new battery. I was also planning on replacing the one in my civic because the previous owner purchased it and I don't know the history of it and I don't want to be stranded because of it.

So what is the best battery of the ones you can buy at places like Napa, Walmart, Autozone etc....

go to walmart and buy those cheapest ones that cost like 29.99 or something. it ran for 3 years with no problems on my car, and once I had slept in my car with the radio on for 3 hours, and once i turned the ignition and it started!

try dcbatteries.com, they have the cheapest prices around for top of the line batteries, including optima( for my 99si it was $100 shipped to my door).. they also have others i think as low as $35 shipped...

I have to jump in here...as a Sales Associate at Sears Auto these Diehards are top notch. Yes a few do fail prematurley but Sears has no problems with taking back a bad battery.

haha i feel ya, i work as a mechanic for sears and had a die hard, best battery ever for me till now, dumbass brought in a yellow top group 51(civics have a 51r which has terminals switched) and said it was bad so they warrantied it out, i put it on the charger three times over an 8 hour work period and tested it with every tester we had in the place to make sure it wasnt losing a charge, NOPE!!! Free Yellow Top Optima is the best!
