Default B18C stalls/bogs out/loses power after car wash...

So last week I went through a cheap touch free car was at a gas station. After I got out, I pulled out and started to accelerate. The car kinda bogged out and I let off the gas then hit it again. After hitting the gas the second time, it stalled out and died. I started it back up and pulled off into a parking lot to inspect it. There was what looked like white smoke coming from the exhaust. But it didn't have a burning smell. It just smelled like normal carbon monoxide filled exhaust. After a few minutes, I took back off and everything was fine until today. It had been raining hard all morning and I went through a flooded spot on the road. Nothing real deep, but it was a decent puddle. It did the same thing, except it didnt die this time. It was real boggy and felt like it had lost a lot of power. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the white smoke as I accelerated. By the time I got down the road a little ways, all was fine again.

What could cause this? I was thinking maaaybe the distributor, but I really don't know. Any help would be much appreciated.

Carbon Monoxide is colorless and odorless

I had a similar problem way-back-when and it was a cracked cap, which let water into the distributor. Let the car dry out and see if the problem goes away, then change the cap. Let us know
