b16a2 won't start, STUMPED! began with spark plug wire popping off [experts test ur skills]
i have a 94 jdm b16a2 in my 92 eg, obd1. I was driving up a bridge and hit a big bump when my car just shut off and wouldnt start. When we got it towed to my house, we found a spark plug wire hanging from the cap, it must have popped off. No spark, coil tested bad, so went ahead and replaced entire distributor with a new one. Now I have spark, I can hear the fuel pump priming, engine cranks but wont start, also replaced battery, checked fuses. Double checked firing order and distributor installation. You can smell gas,i have spark in all four, crank spins. Im stumped.
go to school, car been off road for 2 months,Out of money and almost ready to give up on my eg.

posability could be that it fried your starter and that might be one place to start, and is your engine ground wire connected good enough??? good luck with it though

the ignitor is located in the distributor, the entire distributor has been replaced with a brand new distributor

well obviuosly the timing isnt perfect cuz u can use a timing light on a no start, but I'm pretty sure it would still start, and i have reinstalled the distributor to make sure its in phase and all the wires are also in the correct order
