B16a2 Transmission to LS transmission....swap 4th and 5th?
B series are all compatable, but can you swap 4th and 5th gears only? I need longer gears for crusing/economical driving. Compared to revving at 4 grand going 70mph. I'd imagine this is a common though or project. I would use the search, but I guess its down. If anyone has some insight or advice on this I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking to get part numbers, prices, and what I'd need as far as the two gears (from the mainshaft, and the countershaft). Thanks!

Yeah, I'm just curious though. Can someone possibly list me some part numbers?

No, I want to buy the actual gears from Acura. If I can get them brand new then thats what I want. Do I need the synchros as well? I really dont know all what I need here...

i like the short gears. revving at 4k doing 70 isnt too big of i deal. i did it and got 32mog with my b16... and that was mixing city and highway. keep the B16 gears IMO

I'd keep the 4th gear especially if you are still mated to a B16. The 5th gear I have been contemplating to change for a long time, but will probably do that when I install a LSD and my turbo kit hehehe.
This is probably best for the transmission forum to verify. I'm sure you would have to buy both gears for the main and countershaft. I doubt you need to buy new synchros. Call up Acura Carland in Duluth, GA or Son's Acura Parts in Morrow, GA. They have great discounts on Acura parts and I believe they know quite a bit of tech related stuff as well.
