B16A2 swap into a 95 civic CX w/ D15B7 non-vtec
Hey everyone, i am new to this site and engine swaps. I just have a few questions about this swap. I have done some research on this swap and know i need new axels, shift linkage, and ECU which i have. But some information i couldnt find, and i was hoping i could find some help here.
First: the trany on the d15 is hydro and the trany on the b16a2 swap is a cable hook up, so i was wondering what am i going to need to convert from a hydro clutch hookup to a cable, and also how would i do this?
Second: i was wondering if i would need to buy a new wiring harness to work with the b16a2, because the wiring harness in my car now is non vtec but i hear it is possible to add wires to the stock harness for the vtec to work as long as you have a new ECU with the swap that works with the Vtec motor, is this true? and if so how would i go about making my harness work with the vtec?
Lastly: will this swap line up right with the motor mounts i have now? some people i have talked to said yes, others say i need new mounts and some say i just need a trany mount... does anyone know?
If anyone can help me out it would much apreciated. thanks.
Dylan.

You can use the same mounts, and harness. Find some1 to wire vtec not to hard just need the proper ecu for b16a2 motor. hydro to cable mount conversion... you can find 1. not to hard just a bracket really. i swapped a jdm b16 in a eg before not hard just remember what you disconnected and reconnect. It is obd1 right??? The B16a2????

I think you better do some more research cause a b16a2 has a hudro tranny not cable unless someone swichted it good luck with your swap

LerRoy1119, thanks for the guides. This is the motor i bought, and it came with cable, just like it says, i knew it was cable, and i wanted cable because knew i could use it to adjust the point where my clutch grabs.
