I recently bought a 95 civic ex with a b16a bottom end, gsr head, typ r cams, adjusable cam gears with a chipped p28. It hauls *** but runs rich as hell! i get like 15 to the gallon and you can smell it and see the black smoke at times. I tried unplugging the o2, dIffernt fpr, injectors, chip for the p28, and still it runs rich and wants to die at times. it will idle up and down from like 100 rpm to 1100 and it will die too. It has a new icv so thats not it and all the sensors are hooked up, but im not sure if the map sensor is the correct one or not, it has a typer mani so who knows what throttle body it has. and its not throwin up any codes!!! can any one help!?

what is this "chip" that you have?

i have 2 chips. The one that came with the car and another that i had made by some guy on ebay. the both do the same thing, run very rich. I tried my buddys stock po6 today and it still ran rich and had the same idle problem. and now that i put my p28 back in it throws up the check engine light but when i try and check the codes i says nothing! i checked it with the motor running and off. I unplugged the map sensor 2day and it does the same thing, run rich and try and dies from time to time. Some times it will idle and go from 700 to 1100? i have no idea whats goin on

i found 2 plugs today that have no home. one is for the evap can, which i do not have the other i have no idea were it goes. it as a 2 pin one wire is blue with a yellow stripe and the other is black with a yellow stripe. any one know what these are?
