Icon2 B16A* Possible Bent Valve?

What's up everyone? I have a 99 Ex coupe with a GSR lsd tranny an B16A semi built with Cast Nippon Racing pistons, bored .25 over, ARP head stud's, ported an polished block, I believe 82mm Cosmetic Head gasket, head is pretty much stock besides BC cam's "270's" I am running high compression with a Turbonetic's T3/T4 .57 trim turbo kit on 7lb's. Been running very strong! Red line is set to 9k an motor has roughly 20k on it.

I was driving home from work yesterday when some old guy was driving 35mph in a 55mph lane an i was stuck behind 4 car's that didn't want to pass but go the same speed for NO reason. My engine temp. Gauge read 140 degree's an warming still which was normal, i down shifted to 2nd around 30mph an smashed it to get around them fast as possible to avoid on coming traffic. My shift point was around 8300, when i looked in my mirror i noticed some white smoke????? As i got a few mile's down the road i realised my car sounded like it had a mild Subi sound like it was running on 3cyl. I pulled over an popped my hood to realise it was not just smoking from the exhaust. The Tiny air breather on my VC spit a tiny bit of oil out from it's seal onto my fuel rail an a light smoke appeared from the small filter. I pulled the plug wire's from all 4cyl to see if i burnt them out an the 2cyl " 2nd one in from driver side " had a small amount of smoke coming from it??????
So I am getting heavy WHITE smoke from the exhaust whil driving, slight Subi sound but not very loud, and steam in the 2nd cylander where the spark plug sit's.
I got it home 5 miles after to avoid un neccasary driving for any future issue's.
I am gonna get into it tomorrow being i have a 3 day weekend.

So far my oil does not have any milky mix to it, the exhaust fumes don't smell sweet like a coolant mix, the spark plug's have a tiny tiny bit of oil which i think is normal from the v/c seal's??? an the car Rev's, Drive's, an Idle's normally!

First thing i will do is swap the spark plug's than idk haha, don't know much about Valve adjustment or timing.
Any Input will help please an thank you!

Did a leak down test an 1st Cylander was 125psi - 2nd was 85psi - 3rd was 60psi an - 4th was 90psi

sounds like you skipped timing... didnt get all the slack out of the belt

^^ I think you mean a compression test. A leakdown test helps determine where the compression loss is.

Here's a very good example of a leakdown test:

Looks like 2nd is crap, 3rd is even worse crap, and 4th is crap. Determine where the compression loss in each cylinder is. If it's just the valves on those cylinders you may get by with getting the heads reworked or a new head instead of an entire engine or rebuild. Depending on prices it may just be cheaper to get a salvage engine.

hopefully since its most likely off a tooth or 2 on only one cam that you can just re-set the timing and be happy all over again

lol, we knew what he meant... lets get to the problem. hes right tho, proper terminology will get you much farther and its good practice to try and use it.

Make's sense, but yes meant Compression check! Lazlong thank's for the example there. I am hoping it is simpler than I am thinking. But why would it be smoking from the small filter on the vc?

Burnt valves/seals would be my guess.

K, i found a B16A Head with gsr cams an a skunk2 manifold for 325$ may snag that an another cosmetic head gasket. But i gotta be positive before i spend $ on things i don't need

Have you verified timing marks are spot on b4 your compression test?.. Remember you can pass a leakdown and a compression test with a bent valve... you need to identify the dead hole.. If its got a dead miss at idle unplug 1 injector at a time until u find the cyl that doesn't change idle speed/Quality...

Also if you simply blew the headgasket, Which is possible assuming cyl 2 and 3 readings are accurate coolant in small amounts could wash the cylinder resulting in low compression readings as well... you can all a small amount of oil to these cylinders and retest to confirm or hook an air hose to your low cylinders compression test adapter and pop your rad cap and wait for bubbles....

The compression test was probably accurate, it is going to my buddies shop so he can fully verify. I am ordering my Cometic headgasket an B/C valve spring/retainer kit! Once the head comes off ill be able to tell if it is the ring's, but i doubt it now. It was running hot for a few week's until my new fan came in, so i may have put a lot of stress on it
