1993 civic hatch

b16a2, gsr trans, chipped p28, No Cel

I recently changed my timing belt (gates), water pump, oil pump, and tensioner all OEM. Car runs and drives fine, I just noticed that the timing belt seems to vibrate. Is this ok?

Uh, yeah your timing belt is loose. Please dont drive the vehicle untill you tighten it properly. Well unless you like skipped teeth.

please do NOT follow this guy's advice, he's not performing the install correctly. There's no reason for a person to have to add more pressure to the tensioner spring, unless you did something wrong, or didn't get a new one. What he is doing is actually worse, because he's adding more tension than called for and can cause premature wear of the belt or drivetrain.

If your belt is lose, it's because you didn't install it correctly. Please go over it again and make sure you have all the tension on the intake side of the engine and the slack on the exhaust side. Sometimes you may need to slightly turn the gears so that the tooth on the belt catches correctly and provides a high tension path.

Thanks for everyone's input. The exhaust side is tight but, the intake is really loose. So I'm going to pull the timing belt back off check the spring and tensioner, probably next weekend
