Has anyone tried using those Injector cleaners that you put in the gas tank and they "clean" the injectors and fuel lines???

Here where I live I cannot find seafoam and stuff and I would like to clean the injectors...

There is this "ultrasound cleaning" but they want $200 for it and that is way to expensive...

If anyone tried this injector cleaner, I would like to know if it does the job in any way or is it a waste of money?

I also heard that the small amount of ATF in the fuel will do the job but I am not too brave about putting an oil into the gas tank...

Anyone?

I would stay away from seafoam for FI. Try GUNK or another brand of tank additives.

The ONLY thing you should add is Sea Foam. Good stuff and works.

Fuel injector works well enough for the price. It's helped my gas mileage in the past.

when i used to work at oil can henrys (jiffy lube wannabe) we sold that crap, and everyone that worked there said the same thing... it sux... ur better off buying it and sell it as rum to middle schoolers...

i used STP fuel inj. cleaner a couple of times. worked fine for me, cured the hesitating idle problem and got better mileage

I would try seafoam, but maybe change the oil and plugs not too long after

I've used Gumout Regane for a few years w/ nice results. Seems to be the only once that actually does anything.

Ive used BG 44k and I noticed a substatial difference in idle performance and gas mileage seems like good stuff, kinda expensive tho @ like $29/can

me too. my car seemed to run better, and gas mileage improved.

i ran some chevron injector cleaner this week end after i killed that tank of gas yesterday.
i checked my plugs the tips all the carbon that was there is gone
so i gess it works but nothing amazing it only took alittle off just the tips of the plugs
