Anyone know how to remove side glass from coupe?
Ok so I am going to paint the coupe soon and want to remove the rear and quarter glass. Tips?
If all you can say is go to glass shop save it.
Thanks for any help.

I "cut" them out of the panel, there is adhesive that holds the glass in, and you will need new molding to reinstall the glass.

you need a tool called a "cold knife" thats what the glass guys use... its like a handle with a blade that is bent at a 90 degree angle... you kinda work it around the window cutting the sealant as it goes...
Supposedly you can find these online... I personally had a window guy do mine..

piano wire and 2 pieces of broom handle use a stiff piece of wire to work through the glue. feed the piano wire through the small hole attach both ends to the broom handle to the wire. With the help of a friend run the wire around the window. Or just pay a glass shop to take them out

If I had to guess I would say the side glass molding only comes with the glass.
Anyone know any different?
I know a mustang I had was that way and side glass was 400 clams each.

Don't want any edges...Paint and clear will bridge the gap on the trim.
Then if or when it cracks it will look like crap.

Right. There is no separate part number for the quarter window molding in the Honda parts catalog.
However, you can buy universal stuff from a glass shop AFAIK.

Some people actually like to do body work without half-assing it.

Thanks....that is what I figured.....did you by chance see a price for the glass?

Assuming it is a '93-95 coupe, the glass is $114.67 per side (retail). Wholesale is $96.32 per side.
So, you're looking at $229.34 plus tax if you buy both windows at your local dealership.

I know this post is a bit old, but you should be able to order the trim/molding seperately...
I just got some for my hatch windows by themselves... so I would imagine you can get the coupe ones too.

The molding is listed separately in the parts catalog for hatchback rear quarter windows, but not for coupes.
