Ok i know there is a million of these but im realy stuck right now i have a 94 civic dx im not trying to break the bank on this but would like to be able to do the swap. my question is what is the best set up a D16 Y 8 HEAD or a D16 z6 head its got to be reliable and i already bought a new head gasket for it and need to know if i need to get new timming belt and water pump with it if so can you let me knwo what water pump i need and timming belt my gess is what ever head i get i need that pump and belt but i just need comfermation on that. also what eles do i need. do i need a new distributer and intake manafold or can i use the old one. also do i need a new ecu and ect so i know i am asking alot but it would realy help if you guys could help a nooby out lol thanks for any help in advance

ok i did a mini me on a 95 lx, same motor you got. i used a d16z6 head, you need a p28 ecu for this swap a ex distributor, cuase the legs are on different positions.timing belt use the d16z6, water pump get the one for the block you got, that will be d15b7. for the intake manifold you can use any manifold you want. all d series manifolds are interchangeable.
get the plugs for the vtec solenoid which you have to run this cables to the ecu.
dont forget to take out the oil plug between piston 2 and 3 you'll see it, if you dont take that plug out you won't have vtec.
