AC compressor oil question
My AC compressor failed so I bought a new Sanden AC compressor (OEM) and it comes with 130ml of PAG-10 oil inside the compressor. I am flushing my AC system completely and I bought a new condensor, dryer, and o-rings.
Per Sandens website the compressor has all the oil (130ml) inside needed for my system. The helms manual states that some oil needs to be poured into the condensor/evaporator/dryer? Not sure why the helms manual states the oil needs to be divided up with the other parts of the AC system. I had thought the oil circulates throughout the system?
So would I be safe with the 130ml oil only in the compressor?

Re: AC compressor oil question
Hey Johnny,
I am doing the same thing on my Ody and I'm wondering what you ended up doing? My compressor comes with no oil and I've replaced or flushed my whole system so it has zero oil. Does anyone know definitively the oil capacities required for a bone dry system? My Helm manual states the same drill about taking out from the new compressor 210 ml - what comes out of the old one but that still doesn't tell me how much oil would the whole system need.
Thanks in advance,
Luis
