I just picked up a 00 si about a week ago, and the oem alarm has given me problems twice already.

1 - i went to open the trunk, forgot to disarm the alarm, it went off. After that, I couldn't start the car. After about 30 minutes of messing with the key fob and that little button by the fuse box, disconnecting/reconnecting the battery a few times, I got it to start.

2 - This morning I went to start the car, same problem. I'm assuming the alarm was set off last night. Tried locking/unlocking the car with the key fob, pressed the little button by the fuse panel, still nothing. I ended up getting the car to start after disconnecting/reconecting the battery a few times again.

I do have the oem alarm manual, it lists that if i want to disarm the alarm all i need to do is press the "unlock" button on the key fob. Obviously that isnt working.

Does anyone else have the oem alarm, and can tell me what i'm doing wrong?
