Im looking at a 99 LX Automatic, getting a great deal on it and most likely will buy it if my mechanic gives the ok. I wanted to check with you guys first and see what you knew about the D4 gear light blinking. I tried shifting down to D3 while going down the road and the light went to D3 but the D4 light kept blinking, same thing going to neutral. Im assuming this is some kind of warning/maintance light. Have any of you had this problem and if so what was it?

Also check engine light is on, where is the best place to start to diagnosis that?

Come on someone has to know something.........does the tranny light blinking mean its got an error code? If so what do I do to determine which code and what that code means? I dont have the car yet, no manual in it either so I cant look it up.
