Default 97 Civic clutch issue

My 97 Civic 5-speed doesn't engage when I let out the clutch. The clutch pedal has normal pressure, the slave cylinder moves when the clutch pedal is depressed but seems to be leaking slightly. I can shift into all gears with the clutch pedal in or out, with the motor running and not running, it just won't actually go into gear. Any ideas besides not letting my teenage son drive my car anymore?

if it goes into all gears while running and doesnt move, then it sounds like you have some series clutch issues, perhaps a broken pressure plate, probly need to remove the trans and find out
