96 Civic - engine flooding due to injector problem
Looking for insight. Bought a 96 civic for my college kid and it was tuned some when I bought it. It has aftermarket injectors in it and one of them has gone bad. Leakin fuel and flooding overnight. If I buy a set of stock injectors and replace the current ones will it run ok? I have no idea how to ID the ones that are in it.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Help!
What engine? Are the injector ground wires shorted?

The car may not run right with stock injectors. It depends on the injector, (i.e. high impedance vs. low impedance and size of the injector) if it has computer/dyno tuning done stock injectors may not work, unless they are already stock. Post pics of the injectors there are probably people on here who can identify them by sight.

Re: 96 Civic - engine flooding due to injector problem
I think the engine is the 1590cc 1.6. Car is currently at the local mechanic who isn't honda specific or I'd go out and picture take now.
I'll ask the mech to check the injector ground wires.

When you get a chance to look at the car again there is an engine code. it is down by the transmission on the block. It is a square surface.
Not the green plate the one on the right of it.
