Well when I get on it hard to see if vtec is working I get cell 22 but if I turn the car off and key back on only cell light gose away .. I replaced vtec over and over again I wired a light from the ecu wires that go to the vtec to see if light will come on when the vtec should kick on but nothing there .. I also checked vtec wires from ecu to vtec everything is correct .. Oil pressure is fine as well .. I don't know where to go from here other then to ask maybe someone has useful information that can lead me to success .. Thank you !!

Trying to figure what this means exactly. You checked the wiring how? Fine means what?

Did you pull the plug out of the block before you put the head on?

I wired in a light into one of the wires that come out of the ecu for the vtec to see if the vtec was kicking on and the light never came on at all .. I replaced vtec same thing I wonder if the wires are bad or the p28 ecu vtec part is bad but my brother took it into honda shop and they wired vtec in the ecu and replaced ecu as well so I don't know where the problem is !!

Take a wire, hook to + on battery and touch the signal wire ( single wire) to the vtec solenoid and listen to see if it clicks.

Do you think that the distributer can cause this issue because I have 1.6 head and intake but I never changed the distributer I have one for a on there for a 1.5 vtec and as well as I never changed spark plugs

As long as you have the obd1 distributor with two plugs, it is for vtec and should work with your setup.

It should be 2 plugs 9 pins correct !! Reason why I ask is because for whatever reason I can't get the vtec to work I have done every test there is reset the ecu replaced vtec and I still get cell light 21 and 22 I have checked oil pressure I have read lots or google and forums tryed everything and still no luck so if some could help me figure this out please I want to feel that little more power I love my honda

If you want to feel power, you should've swapped your motor lol. Anyways, code 22 is your vtec oil pressure switch. Double check your wiring. It's likely the reason.

possibly a fault/short in the electrical. run a multimeter to test for continuity from the switch to the ecu. if thats good, test continuity from the switch to the chassis (ground). if theres continuity there, that may be your problem.

It's best if you get a manual as well. Helps a lot.

Sounds like you wired some stuff up wrong buddy. You should go over all the wiring you changed/added and make sure that any splices or connections are secure and well insulated and start testing for continuity to make sure there's no breaks and the wire is still in one piece from start to finish
