95 civic dx clutch fork not engaging slave cylinder.
Just wondering if the clutch fork should be engaging the slave cylinder when stepping on the clutch pedal? I was driving the other day and all off a sudden my clutch pedal give up on me. It decided not to spring back up. Changed cmc and slave cylinder with new one. Also bleed the clutch fluid for hours thinking there might be air in it. Check the lines and there no leaking. The clutch fork is very loose when the slave cylinder is not connected to it. Could it be that something is broken inside the tranny? Any help will be appreciated.

You might have busted/bent clutch pressure plate springs. The pressure plate springs are what allow the clutch to engage AND they push the pedal back up from the floor.
That is...if you bled and installed the parts correctly.

Thank guys. Got the car pedal to hold pressure by messing around with the cmc and slave cylinder. Drove the car around the block but still fell soft. I'll see what happen tomorrow.

One of the bolt hole that hold the slave cylinder is crack. Thought that wasn't the problem because I changed the slave before with just one bolt holding onto it and it didn't give me any problem. Will I was able to stick a longer bolt through the slave and let it sit onto the broken bolt hole while I tighten the other bolt. Got the clutch pedal to hold pressure after a few pump. Hopfully the slave stay stable. If not I might use jb wield to hold the bolt in place.

First time around: Rod probably wasn't installed straight and pressing clutch pushed rod right past the fork.
Second time around: Probably needs to be bled more.
OP: Go buy a long vacuum hose, probably like 4 feet long.
Open bleeder screw on slave cylinder, attach hose to bleeder.
Put the other end of the vacuum hose into the clutch master cylinder reservoir.
Pump the pedal about 30 times, but pump SLOWLY.
Close bleeder screw.
How's the clutch feel now?

It install and bleed correctly. It just that one of the bolt hole that hold the slave cylinder on the tranny is crack. So I could only tighten only one bolt causing the slave to move back and forth everything I step on the clutch. Now I got another bolt holding the slave everything is working correctly. I have chang the slave before with judt one bolt holding and it didn't give me any problem. Man wasted **** load of hours bleeding it.

Seeing as the hole is cracked out repairing it may not be as easy as a drill and tap but you could get a repair kit with a sleeve and jb weld the sleeve in place.
www.timesert.com
Basically drill hole out, tap to larger size. Install repair sleeve with some jb weld on threads and let set.then reinstall bolts.
