95 Civic D16Y8; Starter gets stuck when hot.
My car starter gets stuck when hot. It started happening a few weeks ago. It got stuck after I drove somewhere a bit far, parked the car, killed the engine, came back to start the car. It wouldn't start. I checked the clutch switch and it's fine. Checked the pedal stopper too and it's fine. Checked the continuity of the switch and it's working. Starter is getting power also. But starter is not cranking. All the lights dim when try to crank.
Problem only happened twice in last 3 weeks or so. But today, it happened twice in same day. To fix the problem temporarily, I just step on the clutch while in #1 gear, when the car roll just a bit, I release the clutch. This fixes the problem whenever that happened. I checked the main relay and re-soldered it. But I'm not sure if it's the problem because all the lights in dash become dim as starter is draining the current. Just not turning. Sounds like it's stuck.
Any idea what's causing this?
