95 Civic A/C Compressor turns on sometimes and sometimes wont? Electrical help!
Ok i have a gsr on boost with a gsr compressor .I recharged the A.C proffessionally and ever since I installed this A/C it likes to turn on when it feels like it. Sometimes at start up it will turn on blow cold and later stop working...Almost at all times a night the compressor will work stay on at all times. I have replaced the following w/ new items. Condenser,A/C Relay at Fuse box near battery, BOTH relays on radiator support. Have changed A./C lines (no kinks nothing). I have jumped the A/C and the condenser str8 to power and they power up just fine and on the spots. What can be causing this. The A/C blows fine just doesn't always engage like its supposed to. MY idle is at a fine point and the A/C has proper charge. Like i said it works just fine. CEPT IT DOESNT TURN ON AT MY COMMAND!

Also the condenser does the same it acts as a joint with the A/C so if the compressor dont kick neither does the condenser.

Sounds like the same issue I am having too. Compressor kicks on and off when it wants to and the freon level is spot on the money. I think it may be a restriction in the expansion valve from what I have been told and researched. Good luck.

Check the a/c controler in the dash, there's a multi pin plug on the back, it's a really short wire and difficult to get at. You'll need to disconnect the manual heater cable from under the heater box to allow the controller to come out, it has a self tapping screw in the middle underside, remove the radio to get at it.

ya man check ur climate controll unit it aint hard to pull out im having the same issue. but before that check to see if you have a faulty CIRCULATION button just turn the car on motor running and press the CIRCULATION button, if doesnt kick in hold it down hard and see if it kicks in... if it does then u might need a new climate control, thats what happen to mine. but i put like a quarter in between the circulation button and work good for awhile till i got a used climate control......

If your meaning the A/C button it works if I press and hold it in hard! Could this be the problem>? But why does it work at night time only ? IF I hold the switch down in daytime the A/C will crank and work but I gotta keep holding the A.C button if not it shuts off. Then in night time I press it once and it works no problems
