Default 94 Civic Ex Transmission Questions

My transmission quit the otherday, i took it to a shop they said they looked at it but there was no marks on the transmission indicating anyone even touched the car anywhere. They said it would not go in gear at all but when i had it towed to my house it did go in gear and i drove it into the garage.

I changed the transmission fluid(not including the torque converter) twice and it shifts great when the engines cold but when warm it started making a whinding sound. i shut it off started it again, fine again.

Im right over 100,000, my question is if the filters never been changed will 100,000 miles be enough normal wear and tear to clog the filter preventing enough line pressure for the transmission(clogged filter, maybe torque converter) also would an additive help with this matter at all?
