93 Del Sol Si - power windows don't work and window fuses don't get voltage
So I am trying to get the windows to go up and down. The control module checked out to be fine. All fuses and relays are good under the hood. When putting power to the harness plug the rear, and passenger work.
The interior fuse box has problems. Most of the ignition side fuses are not getting power. Specifically all fuses relating to the power windows.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
There is no engine or ECU in this car.

Are the grounds for the power window circuit connected?

Re: 93 Del Sol Si interior fuse box
Passenger front engine bay, two in left dash, and floor harness in cabin.
Fuses 5, 7, and 8 only get voltage when the window relay is activated. This is probably a relay ground problem (see above).
Check whether fuses 13 and 15 are blown.
The fuses that are not getting power are #'s 5,7,8,13,15.

Thanks again. The fuses are not blown. Would not having the ECU have anything to do with this? Also where does the power come from into the interior box? Is it direct from the battery, under hood fuse box?
I'll check the grounds tonight. Is there anything else that would affect this? What about power from the ignition? Also I remember seeing a grey connector not plugged into anything.
I'll take pics tonight of it.

Re: 93 Del Sol Si - power windows don't work and window fuses don't get voltage
Not sure if this helps, but I was having the same problem. None of my windows worked. I purchased a new window module, replaced the drivers switch and bought a window motor and my windows still wouldn't work. All of my fuses were good inside and out. My dome light didn't work, my trunk light didn't, and my aux lights didn't. So finally I got up the nerve to take it to the honda place this past week and they said that power wasn't coming from my fuse box, so I would have to replace that....I ordered it but it hasn't come yet. When I install it I will let you know the results.

Hi jshine,
That's good information to know. Some fuses in the interior box are getting power, but others are not. When I ran power directly into the driver side window harness, I was able to get the rear window to go up and down. I ran power into the passanger harness, and it also worked. The drivers window did not work.
So you ordered a new interior fuse box?

Did you test the relay and whether it get voltage and ground? If your approach to fixing car problems is to avoid doing any tests and rather to replace parts randomly, then you're on the right track.

Hi Ron,
I have not yet tested the relay, are you talking about the one in the fuse block?

Yes I order a fuse box, it should b here tomorrow. But I had the same problem my windows would roll up n down when it was jumped with a wire. Some of my fuses don't work either. Do you hear a clicking noise behind the radio??? If so your window module is good.

Yes, the module does click. Let me know how you make out after replacing the fuse box.

Re: 93 Del Sol Si - power windows don't work and window fuses don't get voltage
Jshine,
Thanks for the update. I am replacing mine tonight. I took out the gauge cluster and found a ground wire coming out of a harness, not connected. I also found a blue wire that was cut, I am re soldering it as well.
I'll take pics and post. Don't get discouraged, it's probably something dumb.
I have no engine or ECU, I am in the process of re doing the interior, new carpet, seats, plastics. This window/fuse box issue is holding me up

Re: 93 Del Sol Si - power windows don't work and window fuses don't get voltage
For anyone who reads this,
After replacing the fuse box, fuses, relays and double checking the groundwires, I still had no power to the windows/mirrors. I then checked the connection of the harness plugs that go through the rubber boot in the driver side door. That was the issue, the plugs were not securely connected!!!
I would like to thank Ron for his help with trouble shooting this issue. ON to my next step in this rebuild.

Hello,
I have the same problem with my Sol. Can you be specific what wiring connection it is.
Here's to crossing my fingers that you still have the car.
Good luck to me!
