Default 92-95 Civic interior differences

I just got my third Civic.. a White 95 CX Hatch... it has blue interior and I am wanting to get the black interior...so I gotta figure out what stuff I want exactly so I know what to look for.

What color dashes were there?
Blue, Tan, Black? Was there a gray?
Also did all the 92-93 not have the passenger side air bag?

Carpet?
Blue, Tan, Black, Gray?

Door panels?
I have no idea on this one... All the hatchbacks came with manual everything I think, but it seems there are some with side pockets, and some without and they had different cloth material patterns?

I was in your position and I swapped my blue for black. There is a grey dash that I've seen come in white coupes and grey hatches. In order to retain your passenger airbag, you will need a dash from a 94-95 Civic. I have Si door panels which have pockets in the door panel and dark charcoal cloth. You can add power windows/locks if you want using EX door panels and other things. I used a 95 Si rear seat because it was dark charcoal. If possible, get everything from an Si hatch to make all parts compatible with your hatch.

I actually want to get rid of the passenger air bag...

So there is a gray dash? Or are they all actually black? The owner of this car put power windows in, but sorta did a crappy job of it.. I think I actually wanna convert it back to manual in my process of swapping interior colors.

Yup, there is a grey dash. Get a 92-93 dash to get rid of the airbag. You will need to buy manual window regulators.

However, white on black is h0t!

So all 92-93 Black Dashes are the same, right?

What about door panels, which models had different door panels? Like what is different about the SI compared to VX/CX/DX? What is different between the years?

Anybody know where I could pick up some new black carpet for a decent price? How much is it at the dealer?

All black dashes are the same. I have 95 Si door panels, which the cloth is just charcoal black. It has door pockets, but I'm not sure if the DX model came with door pockets. If I remember correctly, 92 Si door panels had vertical lines in the cloth. New carpet from the dealership would cost too much and suggest you getting it from a hatch, and I think a coupe carpet will fit.

dunno if it helps, my 93 dx coupe door panels have no pockets. everything plastic wise (dash, etc) is black. The seat material is like a dark gray with some funky pattern in the middle.

Cost me about $700-800 since I live in Hawaii. Nope, actually easy to convert, just takes time. I actually did mine is sections (one section a day), I started from the rear to the front since I had to order some dash pieces.

for the hatch as far as i know the si had the door pockets, but the 2drs panels fit so u can get ex panels but the cloth wont be the same pattern as an si, i dunno if the lx had pockets... you might want to locate an si thats wrecked and by the whole car and take wat you want and piece the car.. goodluck buddy!

all 2dr ex/si have pocket door panels, si door panels dont come with power options. 2dr ex panels are optional power locks and windows.

do a search, cuz i remember a post on the models of hatched and listing all interior colors, in combination with hatch exterior color. i think all si hatches come with black interior. white hatches come with dark blue interior. blue hatches come with black, grey hatches come with light grey interior, and white 2dr ex come with tan interior. this is all off the top of my head.

Wow seems there are a lot of different ones expecially if there are different patters, and somebody said his CX had pockets... I guess I would like to find some black door panels without the pocket or carpet.. Thanks for the info guys!

the cx is a base model, so if i has a pocket panel its likely to be swapped over from another model. if u dont want pockets go for vx/cx/dx hatches or 2dr dx models and goodd luck. for the cloth patterns, u could always take it to get changed out to black vinyl, which i see is pretty popular. i think its nice too

Yeah, well this includes shipping from the mainland. It will definitely be cheaper on the mainland. Plus blue interior sucks ***.
