it will fit yes. it is however an obd2 engine while your 94 is an obd1 engine. different computers also. otherwise it is a relatively easy drop in

you're saying the d17a2 is a direct drop for an ej1? are you sure? because if that were true, that would mean you would be able to swap b-series motors into em2's, and i know for a fact you can't do that. i believe the mounts for the motor are different.

I think that is true. On the D17A2 there is a mount on the front of the engine and there is no mount on my civic for it.

im not saying its a direct drop in. im saying it will fit. you will need to fabricate stuff to make it work but thats the fun part. cheers

the mounts won't match. I actually have a 01 lx and a 94 hatch and I have a spare motor for my 01lx an thought the same thing. Not worth the trouble or wiring and fabricating it. Just get a ls motor and drop in it, that would be the best in my opinion

Its not a direct drop in but you can put a b16 in an 2001-2005 civic, I think it was super street that did an article on it a while back, but still a d17 in a 94 or a b16 in a 2001 is not an easy swap lots of fab work but can be done infact there are more people rock'n b16 in the 7th gen then you would think from what I understand the swap is eaier than a k swap so I am sure a d17 in a 94 can be done with fab work was well

switch the speedo-sensor, alternator, distributor, and throttle body. obd-2 b didn't come w/ a tps so you might throw a CEL light. and like some ones else 99' motors and less will swap right in mounts and all. Also you can keep your ecu..unless you want to convert to OBD-2 which is really a waste of TIME IMO.. this is (JDM91CRXSI) not 03em2guy
