2000 Si/SiR Engine stumbles and stalls
2000 SiR with 145 000kms
So I was driving to school today, and my throttle felt really choppy, almost the same feeling as if you were pumping your throttle. No engine light was on, so I decided to continue on. I made a turn in 3rd gear at about 45-55kms at about 3000rpms and my car slowed, started to shake, and stumble violently then stalled.
I started it up (it started fine) got out of the middle of the road and looked under the hood. It was raining so I looked quickly, but everything seemed to be fine, the motor wasn't making weird noises, and my intake was on securely (no hydro lock)
So I turned around to come home and I kept it to low rpms and it made it fine... once in my driveway I revved it a bit and it idled and revved fine. So if anyone could give me any advice, or things to test to see what's wrong I'd appreciate it.
Something I just thought of... when I clutched in it was smooth (no jerking) if this makes a difference...
Thanks in advance!

maybe a TPS? mine did that and my TPS went out, just cruising sometime it would just jerk really hard, sucked when you were trying to go slow and that **** jerked you back and forth

Klean... if it was your tps did you buy a whole new throttle body... or did you reset your old tps sensor, and did that work?
or if you just bought a new tps sensor, where did you get it from, because I believe Honda sells them with throttle bodies

i had the same problem. my tp sensor shorted and my car would jerk like heck on me sometimes while i was trying to drive slow. and when i went to the honda dealership (i work at the dealership next door) i tried to buy a tp sensor and they only sold it if you purchase the whole throttle body. reason being that the tp sensor is riveted on, so removing it requires that you drill it out, which is a real pain in the biatch :/

Re: (97Ej6mike)
just thought i'd put this out there, after having my engine light on for about two months for my tp sensor, it corrected itself and the light turned off. car is running fine now.
