My Civic is a 93 so it had the R12 setup. Instead of retrofitting it to R-134a I found a complete A/C system out of a 95 that had been hit in the side. I got the whole setup for $75 IIRC.
I got a better than your average deal though I think as the guy just wanted the stuff out of his way.
I would say a complete system which would be: All Suction and Discharge Lines and hoses, Evaporator, Condenser, Compressor would go for $150 to $250 depending on the person. Most people won't care about the Expansion Valve or the Drier. The drier would need to be replaced with a new unit and I would always replace the Expansion Valve just for peace of mind as well.

any reason to pull it out? if not then just keep it if you sell the car in the future It would be worth more with a/c intact.

Otherwise, it's just a few bolts and fittings. If you remove the intake hose and battery tray you can get to every part of the AC system under the hood. If you're not trying to save the lines it's faster still. Compressor is bolted to a bracket on the block, drier hides in the drivers fenderwell. Condensor sits next to the radiator - can't miss it.

In all honesty I would just keep it in. Even though you don't use it. Your really not going to make enough money off of the system IMO to worry about taking it out and selling the parts. And if you really want more room in your engine bay so its easier to work on and looks cleaner..then get rid of that Power steering bullshit, you will clean up more room and have a cleaner bay by doing that than you will removing your A/C. It also isn't gonna remove enough weight for you to notice a difference in power.
Do you have a girlfriend? I take it you don't, most girls don't want to ride around in a car in the summer that has no A/C and is hot as hell, they don't find it attractive or appealing...unless maybe there some redneck chic with hair under there armpits.
I know my girl wouldn't ride in my **** without A/C in the summer.

Keep it man, I know u say u never use it but u aren't goin to miss it until u pull it out!! I'm looking for one now for my 97 hatch for the previous owner removed it and it's still a stock d series!! Pretty foolish unless a swap is done IMO!

If you can find a buyer, you can get up to $1500, but that buyer is a diamond in the rough and you'll usually end up throwing it away. You can probably get around $50 for the compressor and that might have a better chance of selingl in the middle of the summer, but again, you'll probably end up throwing it away. I once sold an entire A/C system (including hvac controls) out of a Ford Ranger to a non-AC ranger owner for $1200 with me installing it all, but those occurrences are few and far between.
On the bright side, it's all aluminum and the scrap yard will give you $30 for the entire setup

as others have said, leave it in simply because it makes your car worth more when/if you sell it or gets rear ended and totaled. a car with non working a/c or "just needs freon" is automatically worth atleast $500 less than the asking price to me.
