Everything except engine components, yes. IE if you wanna buy a tite azz body kit, one designed for an EX will fit just fine.

Re: 1997 Civic HX? (BauleyCivic)
whats are the main differences between the hx and ex? gear ratios, different air/fuel mix? I always thought they were the same except for the tranny and ecu program but not any real mechanical differences.

Re: 1997 Civic HX? (civic duty)
HX - 115 HP SOHC VTEC-E motor
EX - 125 HP SOHC VTEC Engine
They share absolutely no internal components. The heads, blocks, transmissions, manifolds, ECU's are all different.
As far as standard features are concerned...the EX has a sunroof, and bigger brakes than the HX. The HX however has those m4dd tyte wheels y0 (Which will not fit on an EX BTW because the brakes are too big).

You can buy pretty much anything that will fit an Ex for your Hx,,,,Cam Gear Pulleys Intake,,,,The Manifold is different and the header needs to be installed with separate Cat. I had a Kamikaze header on my 1998 honda civic Hx
