Chrysler Kid - I replaced them both.
I bled the system again with the front end at least 12 inches off the ground for an hour with the radiator cap loose, heater on full, overflow reservoir half full. The temp needle stayed in the middle the whole time. The fan never came until I turned the temp control from heat to cool after the hour was up, it took about 5 mins for the temp to start climbing. The fan did finally come on for maybe 5 seconds when the temp needle was about 1/8 inch from the top, so the fan works. It brought the temp down slightly with the short burst it was on for. Normal?
