1993 Civic lower ball joint
I just fixed up a 1993 Honda Civic for my daughters first car. head gasket, brakes distributor and many minor things, everthything has gone fairly smooth however my last project has hit a snag. While replacing the drivers side axle shaft I bent the shaft on the lower ball joint and also screwed up the threads. I have read many different ideas on how to actually replace the LBJ but can anyone here tell me if I can actually pop out the ball joint and replace it in my own garage without the use of a press. I really do not want to drive 60 miles to the nearest shop that can do this for me and the is already up in the air with everything apart. any help will be appreciated. Once I get this in she is all ready to go and I can get my daughter off of my tail. Thanks!!

pop the hole spindle out and see if you can hammer it out alot of you can.i did on my civic 1993 also.if that dont work then call a few shops around you and see if they have a press and if they will press it out and in for you.
