PLEASE help, rear disc swap PROBLEM!!!!!
ok so i have a 97 ex and got a brake swap from a 99-00 si from IAS. Everything went on fine, and i was happy until i put the wheel on and noticed the worst possible problem. The passenger side wheel had serious positive camber issues and was toed in in the front. I have no clue what could cause this. Please someone have some insight. I tried to take some pics to show you.

the toe can be adjusted with the two bolts on the trailing arm most towards the front of the car. i don't kno what's up with teh camber tho. maybe the parts were off a car that rolled over or hit a curb and bent the rear spindle.

bring it to an alignment shop to see if it can be adjusted. if not demand a new trailing arms or lca

the lca's are fine as they are my stock ones and things were just fine before hand. I really dont fell all that comfortable driving it like that, but i guess they could help to know if something was truly bent.
i need this taken care of quickly, so i'm goin to call IAS tomorrow to see what they say, and hopefully get a new setup on the way....damn what a PITA.
is it difficult to disconnect an ebrake cable from a brake assembly? cuz i'd rather not go through the difficulty of takin all the crap off to get those out again

look like your tires are toes out on both side. loosing the 2 number 20 bolts and then the number 17 bolt slightly. push the tire inward. by doing that will help you toad worthy to take it to an aligment shop. gl

oh there is definate positive camber. I know its difficult to tell from those pics, but there is definate toe and camber problems. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done about the camber issue.

take the hub assembly back off and then put it back on again.
You probably got something up in there bound up and not seated properly.

then it must have been like that from the factory....i swaped the entire trailing arm. Didnt even take the hub off at all
i'm about to limp up to the alignment shop. If and likely when they ell me that its messed up, and i get a new arm, best thing to do would be to disconnect ebrake at the brake, remove the arm, and swap in the new one correct?

welp, got to the alignmentshop, man what a horrible ride. The guy looked at it, and started laughing. We put it up on the lift, and looked around underneath, and it was clear to see it was bent. here is the pic i snapped with my camera phone, sorry for crappy quality.
You can kinda see how there is a little gap under that nut/bolt. Looks like this thing had been hit, or hit a curb or something to bend it up like that...looks like the metal was stretched to elongate the hole.

I'm not paying anyone to do it.... IAS is sending me a different trailing arm to replace it.... They are great guys.

Thats just the way things go. IAS understands that, and their always willing to replace messed up parts. I recieved a bent LCA that caused serious suspension binding & they shiped me another one without any questions. Just be glad you bought from them, and not somebody else...

which sucks... and yes i'm very happy i bought from IAS. I can't wait to get the parts and put it on. With the extremely low braking speeds, they really seemed to do well.

if the lca was bent why didn't you just use the one from your old drum setup? they are the same afterall and that one wasnt bent as far as we all know...

True stacks. Run to autozone and pick up a TORX 50 bit, and.........24 or 28mm socket? I cant remember, but thats all that holds the hub on the LCA. Just swap your stock lca on, even if for a temp fix so you dont have m@d g@y + camber y0!
