Icon2 11-1-10 CEL HELP!!! PLEASE

I recently bought a 2000 Honda civic Ex coup with around 211k miles on it. At the time of purchase it had a check engine light on and would occasionally stall when stopped, but it didn't give me to many fits. At around 221k i noticed the engine had gotten louder but i ignored it because it still ran the same, and i figured it was just getting broke in, lol. Now at around 222k i noticed a sputter, (check engine light was on during this whole story), at low RPM ranges in 3rd and 5th gear when i would push the accelerator past half way. and so i fixed the loud problem at a muffler shop by fixing the pipe b4 my cat converter witch had been rusted off. Now at 223k,the car starts fine, until its warms up, then comes a hard idle, with a faint back fire, and the car sputters in all gears and shakes and doesn't respond , well responds with more sputters when i push the gas down more and wont climb hills very well. once it reaches 4k rpm its stops sputtering but once i shift it goes back into the mode again. Now this is the weird part, when the car isn't sputtering the CEL is on solid, but once its sputters and i floor it to sputter more it it begins to flash flash constant until i reach 4k rpm or let off the gas, and then goes back to solid. I had a code reader hooked up after the flashing stuff started but it said "no codes clear" at both Auto zone and on the one that my friend has for his civic. If anyone could guide me to what the He!! might be wrong it would help me out a lot, cause i really have no idea. Thanks for who ever helps.

read the five stickies in the top on this forum and especially read the one titled "THE Check Engine Light (CEL) THREAD: HOW TO & CODES" which is located here - https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-pull-cel-d4-srs-abs-codes-code-lists-1901557/

try to get the codes and post them up and hopefully we can help you.

thats the problem, it wont give me codes, it just sputters lol, and when it sputters the light begins to flash , it only begins to sputter when it runs for around 5 mins runs and shifts perfect until the thermostat opens and the engin gets heat, then it rattles on idle and sputters when i press the gas on take off and below 4k

Did you follow the steps to get the Check Engine Light? If the light is on and you jump the connector with a clip, the CEL should flash accordingly. Count the numbers. Long flashes are 1's and the fast flashes 2'nd digits. It's all explained on the thread at the beginning of the forums.

Flashing while driving indicates a catalyst damaging event usually due to a misfire. Whens the last time you changed any plugs/wire/cap/rotor? Its possible your cat may be damaged now depending on how long you have driven it. I would check all your ignition components first and see if there is any issues there.
