Just curious if anyone has heard of 2001 and up civics being stolen in NJ or the tri-state area in general? I am moving back there soon and my wife and I are contemplating a new civic or accord but are worried about the theft problem. We spend a decent amount of time within 15 miles of Newark and that seems to be where all the cars are dissapearing from.

I know the 2000 Si and the hatchbacks are hot items, but how about an 04 EX or even an LX? Are these being stolen as well?

im sure its rare unless somebody needs ur parts badly then theyll steal your car.

but since stunnas cant use ur parts to make their rice any faster and look better then nah doubt it

Yeah, they stole my 95 in NJ on Thanksgiving 2014.. I still need to figure out the model code.. it is a coupe..

You need a flatbed to steal an 01+ Civic.

You can't just pop the ignition like you can with older cars.
