00 Civic ex NO START, fuse 44 keeps blowing. HELP!!
I have tried many things and cannot seem to figure this out. Fuse 44 in the underhood fuse box keeps blowing and blowing, its the F/I & E/M fuse and its a 15 amp fuse. Ive got it down to connector B on the ecu, when its plugged in, the fuse blows. When only A and C are connected the fuse does not blow. With B plugged in I've disconnected all Injectors, VTEC Solenoid, IACV and Distributor.. Still blows the fuse. Under dash fuel pump fuse (15A) hasn't blown at all. My pump is good, my fuel pump main relay is fine and I've also tried another ECU from a buddy and the fuse STILL blew. SO I'm thinking the ECU is also fine. I noticed earlier some burn marks on a green plug located right next to the ECU plugs, there is a VBU:Voltage Backup wire (WHT/BLU) that runs from connector B to this unknown green plug. I cut the VBU wire, plugged B back in and still get a blown 44. Im STUMPED, does anybody have an idea what could be causing my 44 fuse to be constantly blowing??!! Thanks for any help! Im here to answer any questions you may have! -Joe

I'm having a really hard time finding an ecu plug to try out. Just wondering if there's anything else i can check before cutting my harness? I have found the ecu pinout and I can see that there are 20 pins (or so) that serve a purpose, just not sure if i can test anything else in that circuit..?
