That's incorrect. Each is an individual bulb. See circuit diagram below.

Are you also saying none of your cluster gear lights works?

I just wanted to come back and say that yes, this did end up being an electrical problem. I had tried everything I could do, but just was having a real problem understanding how to test and fix the electrical problem. We took it to one mechanic that told us it definitely needed a rebuilt transmission. I finally found a guy that would rebuild the transmission pretty inexpensively and he was able to fix the electrical problem without rebuilding the transmission. I haven't gotten it back yet to see if the the drive light is fixed as well, so I don't know about that part of it. Anyway, the whole thing came back to the oil leak that got in the wires and messed them up.

I really appreciate all the help, unfortunately I see that the guy who was helping me is no longer a user here. He was right on the money, though.
