I just finished removing my tar, it was really easy. I reomved all the carpet and tar in about 7 hours. I am going to put my carpet back in though---I don't like the big grey areas where the paint used to be. And removing the tar saves more weight then the carpet. Just spread dry ice out around your floor boards then let it sit for a few minutes and get to chipping with a chizzle and a hammer. If you have access to an air chizzle it would probally come out really easy. I have all the tar in a bag, but havn't weighed it yet.
