Default PLEASE HELP -- delay in acceleration

I have 4k on my manual LX and since I put 2k on it, I've noticed a 1/4-1/2 second delay in when i push the pedal. Usually, the lower the RPM's, the longer the delay. Even though a quarter of a second doesn't seem like much, it's ******* annoying experiencing it every time I shift and every time I start up. I took it back to the dealer, and a technician test drove it and told me that the delay is completely normal and it happens with every Drive-by-wire car. Is he bsing or is that delay normal. Please help out!!

Default Re: PLEASE HELP -- delay in acceleration (fandirabbani08)

A forth of a second would be normal. It is just a slight delay with the drive-by-wire system. We see the same thing with the Si.

The DBW system does not use a throttle cable, which doesn't react as fast.

The throttle cable, as used prior to 06, reacts as the gas pedal is being applied.
