is this normal for headlights?
When I adjust the low beams so that they are perfectly level with each other the high beams also seem level, but the daytime running lights are not level. The passenger side drl sits a few inches lower than the driver side. If I adjust the headlights so that the daytime running lights are even, the passenger side low and high beams sit a few inches higher than the driver side. With that said, is this normal? Should I leave it with the drl leveled out and passenger low/high higher than the driver side or the low/high beams leveled out and the drl uneven?

i wouldnt worry about the drl's. as long as your lows are aimed correctly you shouldn't be worrying. you could always take it to the delearship for warranty work. see what they have to say.

The thing that's wierd is that the highs seem to stay even with the lows even though the drl is the same as the high beam. Gonna go double check all the bulbs.

Double checked again. I guess it was the suspension that made it look awkward. Last time I checked it was right after a drive. This time it was 3 hrs after a drive. DRL's are aligned now and the lows are just about even.

Thats a good point, and probably the only reason that the lows or highs are even but the drl's are not.
Say, has anybody figured out how to deactivate the drl's? Not that I dont mind them, just dont like the fact that I cant leave the engine running, parking lights on, and then those dang drl's are on too! I can turn my lights on if I want them on during driving times! Thanks!

It does. thats why the highbeam light comes on realy dull. If the suns on it you cant tell, but its on

your driving lights are correct leveled
the reason why the passenger side is higher is nowadays, newer cars comes with a cutoff
they lower the driverside so you won't blind oncoming traffic
you should of left it as how it came from the factory

I changed out my low beams to HIR bulbs which produce much more usable light. Wanted to take advantage of it and cover more road while not blinding others as well.

Drivers side lights are lower than passenger side to not blind oncoming traffit and to help see around corners. Your lights aren't supposed to be perfectly level. That's why some lights have a 'step'.

that theory doesn't apply to halogens due to the lumens being low...
Aside from that, the beams are always aimed 15 degrees below the cutoff

I know plenty of reflector halogen housings with steps...same with projector halogens. I've driven them.

Striker_1818, i purchased a set of the anzo usa aftermarket projector headlights from procivic.com. they just seem to be pointed waaay too low. i dont care about the drl's but the actual headlights...
