New rims advice !
Hey I recently purchased a 2010 honda civic and want to get into the custom ride world and the first thing I want are new rims I was wondering if I need to buy new tires for new rims or can I use my stock tires ? My tires specs are 205/55/16 and the rims I want specs are. size 15x6.5 . offset +35mm. bolt pattern 4x100mm . Hub bore 73.1mm . Like I said I'm new to aftermarket parts so I'm not very knowledgeable so any help you can offer would be appreciated !

Yes you should be good...
But honest opinion here I would ditch the 16s and go with 17s instead. It will look a lot better and certainly on this gen of civic.

With the 17"s id have to get new tires right ? And also if the specs says 16" x 17 , should I look at that 17 number ? Or is only that 16'' important?

Ok, with 17s, you will have to get shorter sidewall tires to maintain your overall aspect ratio ( the overall diameter of the wheel and tire assembly). To go to 17 inch wheels, your sidewall will be reduced to 45 or 50 ( 195/50-17 or 205/45-17). The 17s will be a little heavier, and your brakes will be smaller looking, but most people who run aftermarket wheels and tires are probably ready to upgrade brakes and such as well.
I am updating my Si brakes to a Type R brakes as we speak, still trying to keep my OEM 17" wheels.

The thing with a 17 is the tire selection is also much better and cause it's more popular it will be a little cheaper for tires.
Also they will look a lot better. As for them being heavier... they will be lighter then the stock ones that is for sure and if you get a set of wheels like the Enkei RPF1s you will be laughing cause they are light as hell and look great!

The stock Si wheels require a 1.5" spacer. Mocked it up today. The calipers bolt right up, have to mod the dust shield and source out some shallower rotors, but the wheel diameter is ok.

Ya the dust shield needs to be cut to make some space. I know you can use the S2000 rotors for that setup as that is what most of the people who have the brembo kits on 8th are using. They also order whichever brake pads you want to use but they get them for a 350z permium gt for the size and fit.

Re: New rims advice !
My Brembos came with brand new Brembo pads. If I am running S2000 rotors, what depth of spacers will I need?
I measured and it looks like I need 1.5" spacers front and 1.25" spacers rear( for esthetics and stance, not for clearance). The rims were just a bit off the end of the studs when they cleared the callipers.
I know that the spacers will bolt up to the hubs, and then the rotors go over that, but I need to know what the common depth spacer being used is.
I am pretty sure all of the others who have done this have run aftermarket rims with a deeper offset. My Si rims are +45.
