Need help. Could you compare Scion to Civic

I am fan Honda car but my family told me that It use more gaz than Scion (toyota brand)
Could you show me some clues that I told my family and hope that they will change their mind.

Hand them both brochures, have them go to the dealer to get a price out the door. Let them make the decision, you need to sit back and not interfere because you probably aren't paying for it anyways.
